The first part of the course will examine why we should care about philosophy in the first place, the aims of this course, and what feminist epistemology is. The second part of the course will go over different cases in which our identity can affect knowledge acquisition and development and how these cases can relate to our own life experiences. Questions that we will address and discuss here include: what is an epistemic injustice and how does our identity affect this? How does emotion relate to knowledge production? How does one’s upbringing and culture inform knowledge production?
